Why take this course?

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing how projects are planned, managed, and delivered. Organisations are increasingly looking for project professionals who can use AI to improve productivity, gain insights from data, support decision-making, and streamline routine tasks.

This course helps you move beyond awareness of AI and develop practical skills that can be applied directly within project environments. You will explore how AI can support activities such as planning, scheduling, resource allocation, performance analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication across the project lifecycle.

Alongside hands-on application, the course develops an understanding of the ethical, governance, and compliance considerations associated with AI adoption. This balanced approach will help you make informed decisions about when, where, and how AI can add value within projects.

By the end of the course, you will be better equipped to evaluate AI opportunities, enhance project outcomes, and respond confidently to the growing expectations placed on project professionals in an AI-enabled workplace.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain key AI concepts and developments relevant to modern project management
  • Evaluate how AI can support project delivery and decision-making across the project lifecycle
  • Apply AI tools and techniques from project initiation through to project closure
  • Use prompt engineering techniques to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of AI-generated outputs
  • Structure and manage project information to maximise the value gained from AI tools
  • Use AI to support activities such as data analysis, visualisation, workflow optimisation, scenario planning, predictive analysis, resource allocation, and communication
  • Assess the opportunities, challenges, and limitations of AI within project environments
  • Apply AI responsibly, taking account of ethical, governance, and compliance considerations
  • Make more informed project decisions using AI-enabled insights and analysis
