PRINCE2 is for ALL organisations and individuals involved in project management, who need a structured approach to managing projects or project management skills that can be applied to ANY type of project, regardless of its size, complexity or industry, or delivery context.

It provides a clearly defined structure and easy to follow steps for organising, managing and controlling projects, resulting in improved project success.

while People is the core element of the new PRINCE2 7.

 

About PRINCE2 7 Practitioner

The practitioner level extends on the knowledge from the foundation level and focuses on applying and tailoring the PRINCE2 method to a range of different project environments and scenarios.

 Prerequisites

One of the following:

  • PRINCE2 6th Edition (Foundation or Practitioner)*
  • PRINCE2 7 Foundation
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
  • Project Professional Qualification (PPQ)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)®
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • IPMA Level A® (Certified Projects Director)
  • IPMA Level B® (Certified Senior Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level C® (Certified Project Manager)
  • IPMA Level D® (Certified Project Management Associate)

*Please note due to the extent of the changes between versions, PRINCE2 5th Edition and all other previous versions will not be accepted as pre-requisites for PRINCE2 7 Practitioner.

Learning outcomes

Holders of the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, will be able to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and practical application of:

  • The application of the PRINCE2 principles in context
  • The application of effective people management in successful projects
  • How to apply and tailor relevant aspects of PRINCE2 practices in context
  • How to apply (and tailor) relevant aspects of PRINCE2 processes in context

 

Delivery

Delivered as an online programme, the course requires approximately 30 hours of learning. Participants work through the course on our dedicated virtual learning environment, which offers:

  • Video Lectures
  • Learner Workbook
  • “Test your knowledge” resources
  • Sample exam papers
  • Delegate handbook and exam preparation tips
  • On-demand tutor support

 

The exam

  • 70 multiple choice and matching questions
  • 2 ½ hours
  • Pass mark 60% (42 out of 70 questions)
  • Open book (you can use the PRINCE2® 7 Managing Successful Projects Official Book)
  • Prerequisites: PRINCE2 7 Foundation (other certificates also acceptable)

One attempt at the exam is included in the course fee.

 

How long do I have to complete the course?

The course will be delivered over on a self-paced, fully online basis; delegates will be provided with twelve-weeks’ access and have a 4-week window thereafter in which to book your exam via the course delivery team.
