Network Penetration Testing (Linux)

Description

This technical course covers different network penetration techniques to provide a hands-on experience in both penetrating a system and providing security counter measurements against such penetration.  It includes ARP and DNS poisoning attacks, SQL injection attacks, Cross-Site Scripting Attacks, Brute Force Attacks etc.  The whole course is based on the Linux operating system.

This is an SCQF Level 11 module, and upon successful completion, participants will be awarded 10 credits. 

 

Delivery 

This module will last for 5 weeks.  Classes will take place on:

  • Monday 9th October
  • Monday 30th October
  • Monday 6th November
  • Monday 13th November
  • Monday 20th November

This module will be delivered by Professor Jose Alcaraz-Calero.

 

NOTE: This is a university module and upon approval of your application, you will be invited to register and then supported to complete enrolment.
