Developing Factual Formats
Description
Developing Factual Formats will address current issues relating to the development, production, financing, commissioning and global franchising of factual television formats including factual entertainment formats. Students will develop a proposal and produce a taster for a factual programme or series, targeted for broadcast or online commission.
A factual format as almost anything that isn’t drama, news, live sport, or a one-off event or documentary (The Apprentice, First Dates, The Repair Shop, The Great British Bake Off). How would you develop a programme that people will watch?
