Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) Foundation Course

Develop understanding of independent environmental compliance monitoring within construction, infrastructure and development environments. Officially endorsed by AEnvCoW and approved by ISEP, this professionally informed course explores the role and responsibilities of the Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW).

Description

Environmental compliance and environmental monitoring are becoming increasingly important across infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy and development sectors as organisations respond to growing regulatory, sustainability and biodiversity requirements. Environmental Clerks of Works (EnvCoWs) play an important role in independently monitoring and reporting on environmental compliance during construction and development activity in support of improved environmental outcomes and transparency across projects.

The Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) Foundation course provides a sector-informed introduction to the role, responsibilities and principles of Environmental Clerk of Works practice within contemporary development and infrastructure environments. Delivered in collaboration with industry specialists at Naturally Compliant Ltd, the course is officially endorsed by the Association of Environmental Clerks of Works (AEnvCoW) and approved by the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP).

The course explores the principles of independent environmental compliance monitoring and reporting, environmental risk awareness, planning consent obligations and professional practice within construction and development settings.
