Auditing and Reporting as an Environmental Clerk of Works

This session will give an overview of:

The role of auditing in management, types of audits from processes to management system and audit techniques

And on completion of this session you will be able to:

  • Plan an audit: Taking into account the responsibilities, resources, procedures and interview schedules.
  • Conduct an audit:  Opening meeting with management, site inspection, interviews and documentation inspection followed by the closing meeting.
  • Prepare an audit report: As it is essential to have a record of what was done, what was found and any actions required.

The above will be delivered as a tutorial followed by a case study (audit exercise).

Overview

Sessions will be led by industry and academic experts; delegates will be required to participate through a combination of interactive activities, discussion forums, break out groups and case study development.  The main sessions will be hosted on Zoom so a reliable internet connection, web camera and microphone will be required.  Sessions will be recorded and then posted in a secure site for delegates to access and review at a later date.
