Performance Contexts: Production Aesthetics

On this module, students will watch a range of different examples of theatre, performance, and film, assessing the aesthetics of finished performance products and the contexts in which they are produced.  They will learn about contemporary practice in theatre and film and be supported in their selection of the performances they choose to watch, think, and write about.  During the course of the module students will gain competencies and confidence in the critical review of contemporary theatre and film productions, expressing their ideas via group presentations and individual written reviews.

This is an SCQF Level 7 module, and upon successful completion, participants will be awarded 20 credits.

This module will last for 12 weeks.  A full timetable will be published in advance of course commencement.
