CPD Taster Session: CMI Qualifications

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) qualifications offer a range of development opportunities across various levels, aligned to real job roles and the skills that employers are searching for

Description

UWS offer both open and bespoke Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accredited qualifications for first line, middle and senior managers at SCQF Levels 6, 8 and 11.

UWS is an approved Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Centre providing a range of CMI accredited qualifications to suit managers at various stages of their careers across private, public and third sectors.  Covid-19 has brought the focus of leadership to the fore, with an increasing number of managers required to develop new skills to remotely manage their workforce.  Now with a return to the workplace and the introduction of agile working, managers require to further adapt their skillset for this new norm.

At every level of staff development, our aim is to deliver practical and relevant programmes that further each participant’s personal development thereby increasing their effectiveness at work.  Learners are fully supported throughout their programme by our specialised tutors, suitably qualified and experienced in their individual subject areas to deliver programmes with a real-world emphasis, and designed to improve individual and organisation performance.

Join this taster session to learn more about our open programmes commencing late September:

  • CMI SCQF Level 6 Qualifications in First Line Management
  • CMI SCQF Level 8 Qualifications in Management and Leadership
  • CMI SCQF Level 11 Qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership

We also offer these qualifications for bespoke delivery to organisations.  We will work with you to design and develop modern executive programmes to your specific requirements in a client-focused manner.  Working in partnership with clients, our aim is to boost individual and organisational performance and improve productivity.  Our partnership approach ensures that participant and their sponsoring company expectations are fully met, and that value for money is achieved.

The tatser session will be delivered by Allan Burns, UWS CMI Centre Director.  Allan has a lengthy career in industry and has authored and developed a number of modules and programmes at all levels to underpin various designs and operations.  Most recently, he is focused on pedagogical design issues in management education with particular reference to online environments.

The session is expected to last around 45 minutes, including time for questions.  The session is free to attend but advanced registration is required to secure your place.

After you have registered for the event, you will receive a Zoom link to join the call.
