This module is part of our highly-regarded MEd TESOL masters programme.
The module is concerned with the use of technology and the role it can play in enhancing language teaching and learning processes. Given the current climate there will be a particular focus on developing capacities to use a wide range of online teaching and learning tools.
This course is suitable for teachers of English who are educated to Diploma level in TEFL or DELTA level or equivalent and should have a minimum of three years of practical teaching experience. Participants will study alongside our full-time Masters students, joining a community of students from all over the world.
The ESOL team at UWS have studied and taught across the globe. In teaching, our ESOL leaders bring both their knowledge and practical experience to the classroom to create an unrivalled learning experience. Our ESOL team are also involved in academic research and regularly attend global conferences to ensure all of our ESOL delegates are confident in teaching and shaping students who are fit for the ever-evolving, modern world.
This course will adopt a blended learning approach, with a combination of self-paced online study and live online seminars with our leaders. Delegates will be able to access course content throughout Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and will have access to course materials for a short period after course completion, should they wish to consolidate any learning.
This course may be available on a fully funded basis to some delegates through the Upskilling Fund. Further details, including regarding eligibility, are available under Funding Support.
